Education Scotland, the government agency responsible for improving performance in schools, announced on Tuesday that inspections would be cancelled at least until the end of the academic year to allow teachers to “concentrate on reopening schools”.
“Normal inspections may not be appropriate, but surely this is when they should be in schools more often, identifying and providing the support required,” Mr Gray, education spokesman for his party, said.

We are delighted the report praises our confident and well-mannered young people and the drive and commitment of the head teacher, senior leadership team and the staff. Education Scotland also recognise the schools very strong positive ethos and its outstanding attainment and achievement.

Government HMIE inspections for both teaching and pastoral care have passed the school at the highest level. Head teachers from various senior schools also speak very highly of Cargilfield and in particular about the children at the school.
