"We are not your Monkeys,"

a 5-minute music video which is a Dalit critique of the Ramayana. Lyrics by Daya Pawar, Sambhaji Bhagat and Anand Patwardhan(1996).

Anand patwardhan is India's foremost documentary film maker. Unflinching in their honesty, hard-hitting and provocative, Anand's films have won a numerous national and international awards inluding the National Award for Best Investigative Film, the Filmfare Award for Best Documentary, the Critics Award in Fribourg Festival, the Ecumenical Prize at Nyon (Switzerland), and the Citizen's Award in Yamagata (Japan).
